Flowers

The flower paintings are styalized and usually fairly dramatic. I tend to view flowers as individuals with characters and qualities that I enjoy painting. In this way they are rather more like portraits. One of the paintings was inspired by two characters from Angela Carter's 'Wise Children'. Another represents my wedding!
