The X-Ray Room,St.Mary's Hospital,Isle of Wight:
The hospitals ground floor theme of water is continued in the Radiology Department with Dianne Vince's ceramic roundels of dolphins produced in 1993.The enclosed space of the X-ray room allows no views out, but the soothing image through portholes of dolphins swimming is popular as a focal point and conversation piece.

These are pictures from a full room mural commissioned by the Healing Arts. It is designed to take a child's mind away from their immediate predicament, offering seaside images of carefree enjoyment.
